About This Tea

What does Antiquitea taste like?
This aged Fuding Shoumei offers a comforting depth, characterized by a sweet, resinous wood sap aroma that gracefully unfolds into warm honeyed notes upon brewing. Its rich mineral undertones contribu. It leans woodsy, honey and floral.
How should I brew Antiquitea?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does Antiquitea come from?
Grown in Fujian, China from the Wild Shoumei cultivar. This batch is from the Autumn 2018 harvest.
How much does Antiquitea cost?
Starts at $4.00 from One River Tea, or about $0.10/g. A 25g package gets you around 4 gongfu sessions at ~6 g each, which works out to about $0.60 per session. Explore more white teas on Teadar.
